an elderly lady daydreams of the day she met her beloved

Aged, she sat in retrospection,
her smile one of tender affection.
She perched comfortably in her armchair
and gently clutched the flower fair.
In the stillness of a quiet room
she inhaled its sweet perfume
and watched the dust motes swirl and play,
just dreaming of a by-gone day.
