Writer's Cramp (4 Jan 2025). A Dutch song lyric serves as the acrostic.
My Prayer

I begin by
kneeling in devotion,

knowing this is the place
where Spirit draws near
and listens …
my hands clasp as I say my prayer:

have mercy, oh Sacred One
and show me the way
as I continue
struggling
to understand

our chaotic world and its
needless suffering.
grant me the fortitude to be
empathetic,
magnanimous,
enlightened, and
resilient, so that I may show
kindness to all
those who cross my path.

today, tomorrow, and
onward … for all the days
to come …

empower me to serve those
enmeshed in pain and other
negative thoughts and beliefs.

gracious Spirit, I humbly ask,
endow me with
benevolence until the
end of my
days here on Earth.
