A mother manages three children
One thing at a time

Three Children together come.
Mommy, mommy please carry me.
Mommy, mommy sister hit me.
Mommy, mommy quickly do come.

Good advice you gave to me.
One thing at a time you did say.
It will help me get through the day.
How can I make three as easy as one?

The youngest I carry away.
Leaving the two oldest to stay
I know those two will be okay.
While the youngest in bed may lay

Now that my youngest lies asleep in bed.
I can ponder what should be done.
when my next child heeds me none
Can she see that she must be led?

My middle child must test me.
she must prove how much I love her.
Often, I must explain to her,
How the things she does displease me.

The oldest child I do set.
Arithmetic practice to do.
Rewards of money she gets too.
There are better rewards I bet.
