Peace For the World

Peace! Peace! Peace! Peace! Peace! Peace!
Everyone in the world cries for world peace!

If Christ came to give it to us,
Why is there such a fuss?

Where is this peace he is to give?
Where is this peace in which to live?

Peace with God and peace with man,
Jesus has the whole world in his hands.

Peace occurs first in our hearts,
Then again when we do our parts.

We must forgive and accept his love,
We must rely on his help from above.

We must pursue it with God's affection.
We must follow it with full intention.

It takes effort and letting wrongs go.
God's Holy Word, we must know.

We must hide His Word in our Heart
That we will not sin from the start.

We must humble ourselves in prayer,
And conduct ourselves very fair.

If we want peace in the world today,
It will only come one way.

If I want peace in the world,
I must turn the cheek at insults hurled.

I must realize it begins with me,
And a better world it will be.
