Wars: Peace Exceptions Denied

An Iraq War of reckless engagement,
Not to be excluded or excised.
A history of epic over-confidence
And American resolve became
Clumsily and incredulously tested;
Post-World War II identified
The superior wherewithal
Of the most powerful military
On the planet,
And every global crap and idiocy
Has since been privy to this nation’s
Ineffective strategies
And clueless involvements…

That copious and needless drive
Led to Afghanistan’s twenty year occupation…
America’s freedom fighters
And national interest keepers
Of the world’s pulse
Continued to spend trillions
On the democracy seeking
Of that troublesome
And distant nation -
They squelched the terrorist cauldron there
Whose germinations may have culminated
In attacks on the homeland,
And brought a generation of warriors
Who were outraged by 9-11
Attempting glorious payback
To their unscrupulous and tragic recall
Over the anniversary of those attacks
For an obscene and deadly headline
To end the careless
And heartrending engagement…

For conditions to improve
Among the current three-ring circus
Of conflicts -
Europe’s Russian invasion of Ukraine,
Israel’s complete and competent override
Of incalculable bloodshed on their soil,
And economically dismal China’s
Oncoming takeover of the island of Taiwan -
The U.S. must look inward towards its citizens
And promote justice for
Their chaotic living standards;
The freedom prioritized by the shining light
On the hill of this sacred Earth
Must first be guaranteed that all global currencies
Be transacted continually in U.S. dollars
Prior to conversion to foreign currencies,
And then solve conflicts abroad
Through stabilization of impact
On worldly inception based on timely
And assured objectives
Which are well within reach! 

As for the nation’s heroes and proud veterans,
The calculations of the government’s
Sacred honor and commitments
To its allies abroad shall remain
At the wise disposal
Of a commandeering and structured collection
Of political and military leaders and generals,
Whose requirements are met
Through bold and unafraid justice seekers
Who are honored to serve this nation
And wear the uniform of the Land of Freedom
And Stars and Stripes;
To serve is an honor of distinction
And norms for millions of proud
And glorious families,
Including their wise and disciplined
Sons and daughters -
A continuation of stellar distinction
For this novel nation of experimental freedoms
And liberties
For all the planet’s determined expectations.
