SK Thomas began writing in 2003 as a senior in high school, as part of a college scholarship contest. The story that was penned for that contest, Carnal Fear, was a seventeen page draft that became the first three chapters of his upcoming novel. Later that year, he completed his second short story- a mafioso tale entitled Family Business. After a six year hiatus, and the birth of his daughter in late 2009, he turned his attention back to his writing career. He began refining his first two stories, and brainstorming on his next works: Dominion, and Homecoming.
