My name is Margaret. I live in Barriere, near Kamloops, in BC Canada. I've been writing poetry since my grade 9 English teacher inspired me to start writing (years ago now). I'm quite happy-go-lucky/optomistic by nature, so my writing tends to be upbeat. I particularly like to write poetry about nature. Since the Fall of 2009 I have been a reporter for the North Thompson Star/Jounral, the local newspaper in Barriere. In 2014 I started the Barriere Writer's Group, which meets once a month at the local Library. The main focus of the group is encourage and help each other in our writing endeavours.
