I actually started writing creatively to express myself under influence of a dear friend and 3 years later under the influence of an older girl friend I began to write poetry. That was in the 1970's. Much of my writing in the insuing years was technical or academic. Marriage and grad school suspended my creative writing for the most part until I suppose I could not stand it any longer. My poetry speaks from my heart, my letters give my heart (primarily to my family), and my other writing meets my need to teach. I feel a need to move much further into writing, perhaps to a published work.
