LR McLaughlin lives near Olympia, Washington with her husband and son on their 5-acre spread with two dogs and two cats. When she's not reading or writing, she is playing in the garden or greenhouse or selling handcrafted toffee made by her husband at local fairs and festivals. In the summer, she grows and sells produce and cut flowers at local farmers' markets.
