Dreams

I hear your heart beating,
And mine has the same rhythm.
We step back from our embrace.
I look up into your deep blue eyes.
Your arms are loosely holding me.
Love emanates from your every touch.
You tell me you love me.
No words can describe how I feel.
I lean in to kiss you.
I wake up.
I roll over in an empty bed.
I was dreaming of a perfect world
Only to find that it hasn't happened yet.
