It's about anorexia. *laughs*
Is it wrong to feel your body deteriorate
And feel pride?
I’ve cried at my reflection
‘Cause size 8 is far too big
I want to rot from sight
I want to be frail enough for flight
Leave no indentation in the sheets
Leave no footsteps through freshly fallen snow
I’ll rip out my nerves
I’ll strangle my curves
Eventually hunger will fade away
The models on my wall warn me
“Don’t swallow a spoonful”
My family pamper me to no end
It’s great… but I hate it
‘Cause I want to rot from sight
I want to be frail enough for flight
My ribcage will be visible
No one could call me “average”
My bones jab out through my clothing
It’s lurid, but I love it
Now you’ll feel the difference
Now I can truly fade away
I’ll be healthy another day
‘Cause today is tomorrow’s yesterday
You can feel my fragile framework
You can kiss my malnourished lips
Then you can utter that fateful line:
“Have you lost weight?”
