Love passes by like a cherishing wind.
Alone in a grassy glade,
I stand where the light has made
A lonesome little spot for me
Beneath the arms of a dying tree…

Perhaps it was my perpetuating fear
That brought me alone to linger here,
In sight of these joyous flowers,
Where winds possess mystic powers…

I step into light and close my eyes,
Expecting promises as comforting lies;
Making me question life’s true role…

A whisper of wind caresses my face,
Swiftly departing without a trace.
My eyes open to find nothing there,
Only perfume lingering in the air…

No sooner forsaking sight again
And darkness returning like a dear old friend,
Then I taste of a long summer’s kiss
Having unknowingly crossed my lips…

Once more I open my eyes to see
The only one standing here is me,
So again I return myself to blindness
In hopes of finding love in silence…

A whisper of wind tousles my hair,
And though I’m certain that no one’s there,
I hear the most dulcet of angel-speak,
“My dear kitten, is it I you seek?”

I dare not give a glance,
Lest forfeiting my only chance
Of living out this blissful dream
And discovering what it all means…

A whisper of wind touches my cheek,
But like hands, continues to seek,
Comforting with their gentle touch
A heart that has longed far too much…

So painful for such a tired soul
Whose heart quickly fades to cold;
Undying hope would have believe,
Until all the world would deceive…

A whisper of wind leaves tears in my eyes,
Which I notice in quiet surprise
Are silenced by a most tender kiss:
A sensation I so longly missed…

Must I live in a world so cruel
That every moment it will rule
By splitting poor hearts all right through,
Never letting them find love anew?

Determined to face the illusion with spite,
I open my eyes to the heavenly sight
Of you laying amongst the pinks and blues,
Melodically whispering, “I’ve finally found you.”

You tug me in to fall beside,
Where in your arms I reside;
Tears of bliss I begin to cry,
Knowing happiness is finally mine…

If a Shadow could find his hope,
If an
Angel would choose to dote,
Upon him a gift of dreams come true,
It would be found in his love for you…

O… how I love thee…
