love, wrapped in lies, can never truly be given or returned
How could I ever tell you
How much you meant to me.
Your smile, your touch, your every breath
They set my chained heart free.
Your glance set my heart racing.
Your eyes made my heart dance,
But now I question your every word.
I realize I never had a chance.
A chance to have everything
Just what I'd always dreamed.
Something I guess I never deserved.
At least that's the way it seemed.
But you, my wolf in sheep’s' clothing,
You opened up my eyes.
And now in your arms I wonder
Why you had to feed me lies.
I'll love you now and always,
Some things can never change,
But I feel as I look into your eyes
Everyday you're growing strange.
And soon someday I'll realize
I didn't know you at all.
I've spent so many days and wonderful nights
With someone who couldn't fall.
