Broken Hearts

If only my heart could speak
Maybe the pain would go away
If the arrow wasn't so deep
Maybe I could see beyond today

To remember and never forget
What we must return to
To live and walk by
The shattered dreams we must cling to

All nations are changed
Pure innocence is lost
Corrupted by evil and hate
Looking for hope beyond the remains

To imagine such loss
Our hearts are bound in chains
Only love can save us now
From the many scars and endless pain

Together we stand
Heart to heart and hand in hand
This will be the picture frame
