Last Coke
Oh Where, oh where, can my quarter be?
The Coke machine took it away from me.
It's gone to the place where quarter's go,
So I reach into my pocket and take out some mo'
(It had to rhyme with go!)
We were going to the mall in my daddy's car,
We hadn't driven very far.
There by the road, straight ahead,
Our car stalled, the engine went dead.
We couldn't drive so we walked all night.
I'll never forget our walk that night.
Our mouths were dry, we couldn't last,
"Oh, look, a BP. At last!"
Chorus
When we reached the station, the phone was out,
I saw a quarter lying on the ground.
Something shiny before my eyes,
There was a Coke machine on the right.
I lifted my quarter, put it in the slot.
"We'll be drinking Coke in just a little while."
I leaned in close to the Coke machine-I heard a hiss,
I saw the Coke even though it had missed.
Well now it's caught in there tight,
I lost my Coke, my life, that night.
