Unadulterated Beauty

I’ll try to paint a picture, to capture all your grace
But nothing in creation compares to the beauty of your face.

I’ll try to use my crayons, to capture how you shine
But nothing that I draw conveys how I want you to be mine.

I’ll try to use a camera, to capture the whole you
But even that cannot compare, what else is there to do?

Then the idea came to me, to make my wish come to pass.
I’ll ask you if you’ll marry me, to be with me at last.

Then each day that I wake up, I’ll see your beauty and grace
And each night that I go to sleep, I'll press my lips upon your face.
