My first breakup. She hit me hard, right where it hurts the most.
You

Don’t touch me you bitch,
I hate you more than ever.
I won’t return your calls;
You were never there when I needed you.
I was your lover in the corner.
But I needed more room to shine.

Don’t whisper to me your gentle words,
I don’t want to remember.
You’re the one at fault, not me,
I was doing well enough before you.
And now that I’ve known a better life
You’ve stripped it bare.

Don’t say you’re sorry like that,
I know that your not, you never are.
Your lies and deceit made a blanket
Over the ones that you think you need.
I hate being brought down by you,
As if I represent your faults.
I hate that I want you,
Need you to do this to me.

Most of all I hate you,
Not for the lies and broken dreams,
But for my own weakness.
The one that you exploit,
And hold over me.
Love, given ages ago,
free and unbidden,
before harsh reality
And the weight of the world set in.

You bring me down,
And God help me,
I need you to...
