A girl breaks down to a realization. Please send comments.
The Day You Never Came
you told me you'd come back again
you said she meant nothing to you
there was nothing for me to worry about
I heard you say to me
I trusted your every word
My heart knew you'd be back today
your words had told it so
So I sit here waiting
my heart wont let me leave the window
holding on to your every word
I told my self five more minuets and I would be in your arms
But that was the day you never came
you took my heart and on your stallion
you told me you would bring it back today
but that was the day you never came
I saw a great white stallion coming down the road
My heart lifted it had to be you
with the sorry I kept you waiting
I saw the stallion come but never turn into the drive.
that was the day you never came
I fell to the floor and cried
I heard blue birds singing
no, not singing, mocking, rubbing it in my face
with their marry little tunes
I went to the closet got YOUR mighty gun
I shot every, damn, blue bird
I sat back in the window calm as ever
then a great black stallion was coming from the distance the rider had hair like the night
she stopped at the gate
I walked out to her caring YOUR gun
she told me a secret of the greatest kind
a secret kept forever
the minuet she started I went into shock
then she told me I was invited to Your wedding
I got sick to my stomach quickly
I brought the gun to my heart and fired
I fell to my knees and then on to my back
the secret you will never know
because that was the day You never came
I laid there drowning in my blood
the rider with black hair held me close to her breast
Damned My love forever
Damned Herself for telling me
and Damned YOU for doing it
