One time
is all it took
The thunder roared
The Heavens shook
& out came an angel
I had been blind
but I did not know it
How could I find
when they did not show it
before
When the lightning struck
it opened a door
There was a feeling
I just couldn't ignore
I had been touched by an angel
I had the power to soar
Touched not by flesh
We had not yet meshed
Yet you reached into my soul
When you see Heaven, you know--
You just know
Because time stands still
& takes your breath away
The bells will chime
The birds will sing on that day
The day that Heaven brings
The touch of an angel.
