Brief poem that describes the toll of love.
Torn, Tattered, weathered and worn,
Few people have judged it with more than a scorn.

Tired, lonely, broken, and shattered,
Been broken by many, yet easily flattered.

Aching, hungry, alone, and cold,
Within love unfolds, yet many truths lay untold.

Shabby, mangled, hanging by a thread,
Many times used, instead of my head.

Discarded, forgotten, needing amend,
This happens so often, it is becoming a trend.

Cracked, split, cut, and amiss,
Who knew this could happen with only a kiss?

Who said it was right to tear it apart,
Who gave you permission, to break my heart?
