A withering change.
A chill in the air, the wind bites. The land seems to fall into a silence. The trees bare, the leaves falling in leafy brilliance. A rainbow on the ground. A crunchy blanket that seems to cover everything. I feel so sad this time of year. Its like watching the trees cry. As though they have a deep sorrow we cant understand.
The sun though burning bright in the sky it offers no comfert from old man winters icy grasp. Even the wind seems to mourn the passing of summer to fall to winter. With a frightfull howl through empty tree limbs singing a sad song into the night. All in all I think this time of year is just sad. Yet no other time of year gives you a feeling like fall. A feeling such as the urge to stop and take one last longing look at a hillside. The moment taken to watch one last sunlit child play in a thick and confining coat as his mother stands iratatded a few feet away.
In closeing I find the cold to be choking and the barren trees a sad reminder on the green and lush happiness of summer...
