Walking down the memory lane, I saw a house named childhood.
The fairies adorned the gates, on the window sat Red Riding Hood!
Squeals of laughter invited me, angellic faces beckoned,
But alas! I found I was out of place, so I bid goodbye and turned.
Walking further, I met my grandpa, just the same he was,
He drew me close like old days, but suddenly.... he was lost.
I walked on, until I saw my nursery school,
I saw myself in fancy dress, looking really cool!
Few steps ahead, I saw a cottage, boldly titled 'YOUTH',
I saw myself ears pierced , hair dyed and all, hard to believe.... but the truth!
Unmindfully walking, I stumbled and fell, badly hitting my head,
I looked up and saw my dad, as always saying, ''Get up, don't be afraid!''
The road ended in a beautiful garden called Life,
Here , I saw myself through all the stages, through peace and strife.
A dew drop fell on a leaf, the birds sang in unison,
They seemed to say, this is not the end, there's much more to come!
