Cute Little Puppy

When I played, I happened to hear,
a quiet whining sound near my ear.

I turned around and what did I see?
A cute little puppy staring at me!

So I bent down to scratch his back
and he wiggled like a worm right where he sat!

"Puppy, puppy, can I take you home?
You're so cute and you won't be alone."

The cute little puppy smiled a smile,
so I picked him up and played for awhile.

A little girl looked over to see
and saw her puppy playing with me.

"Thank you for finding my little baby;
come back tomorrow, you could play with him maybe."

I said, "Ok!" and left with great cheer
and the cute little puppy barked goodbye loud and clear!
