Are we destroying life with absurd rules?
What if
god crashed us in to the earth
To see what we'd do
A dangerous experiement
Results unable to construe
Bubbling over the top
Flooding the room
Leaving no air to breath
Nothing subdued
Except those that learned how to swim
And blend in with the green
And the rest settled down at the bottom
In the red, helpless and unseen.
Its funny how they took control
And pretended to protect us under their wings
But they were just trying to convince us
That with out them we're nothing

And now according to the people
Permitting and authorizing real love
Is "devaluing marriage"
But come dinner time
They're croweded round the tv
To see
Which one he's gonna pick

For one million dollars!

And we were trained to think
To beleive
That we were fighting for a cause
Not for some sniviling texas theif
A presidential fraud
Only in the business to please his ol' man
To get those innocent men into iraq
Informing those soldiers
To follow his vital instruction
"Trust me"
He says
"Just keep looking for those
Weapons of mass destruction"

And I think if this legal suicide doesnt take us down
Then disease will
But it looks like were getting closer to the front lines
Of the last vicous kill
And I think people like Berg
Who gave their lives
In attempts to make peace in the world
Are heroes that were blinded by patriotism
And operation: revenge
Before them unfurled

Cos its an unwritten rule
That with power comes privledge
Theres this blanket of
Authority
That sets up rules
but doesnt follow them

And despite the lack of relation
Everyone's stickin there nose
In everyone elses business
Because
They have
Strong opinoins
For example the Pro Life club
Investing in gun stock
...To kill a father, husband, brother, son
Least of all an aborton doc.
Who put his life on the line
To help others
But his brothers
Didn't think killing was right
Their hypocritic hatred was the fuel
And his practice and compasion was the light

And how did money become the basis
To our life cycle of multicolored faces
Found in all places
Spaces
Traces of life?
How did green become what we live and die for
Eat and breath for
Sleep to wake for
What made us all mighty powerful
To destroy the homes of our brother animals
So we could make homes of our own?
Intellegence?
Then how did bush become president?

And why are we fooled
By the covers of magazines
That lure real people in
To the raw obscenities
Photographs of the half nude girl next door
The one with the body
Teenage girls kill themselves for

I believe if you have a cause, fight.
And fight hard.
if it doesnt affect you
Don’t affect it
Its none of your business
Not in your interest

And if its about sacrificing lives
Of husbands or wives
Fathers mothers
Sisters brothers
Sons or
daughters
You know, they never wanted to be
A martyr
Once they found out what
They're really fighting for.

And if its about a womans body
To her and only her does it belong
No one should ever
Ever
Tell her
That what she’s doing is wrong.
Because everyone makes mistakes
everyone breaks
and the world is far from perfect
i suggest you
open your eyes
And learn it
Read it up and down
because behind every smile
Theres a frown
Theres a cheater
A murderer
An impure soul
A young girl that wanted love
A poor boy that didn't know.

And its your fault
Just as much as it is theirs
And its my fault
Just as much as it is yours
And I guess I want to know
When were gonna pick up these pieces
That we as a whole, dropped
On the floor
Or
Does everything else have to fall first?

So what if we crashed into earth
From some distant alien space ship
Or when the chromosomes divide they made a quick switch
Or we evolved from monkeys
Somewhere in nature we split
What if we weren't spose to ruin this world
just live in it?
