Ayer meets the king and her future head on.
Chapter 2

Jasden knocked on the giant wooden doors of the throne room. A voice roared from with in to open the doors, and two servants pushed the doors open. Jasden turned around, and told the followers and Ayer, "Allow me to talk to the king for a moment."
Ayer liked the chance to be standing, and with the little restrictions, she almost had her freedom. And she was glad for it.
Jasden walked into the darkened throne room, and made his way to in front of the throne where he stopped and kneeling. King Laklor chuckled, "Sir Jasden rise. Do I have to tell you everytime that you are not to kneel for me?" Jasden smiled as he rose and looked the King who had took him in as a child and raised him, "My sire, I brought you that girl whom I was telling you of before."
Laklor shifted in the throne, "And you believe she is my daughter, Jasden?"
Jasden nodded, "I do not mean to get your hopes up, my liege, but I have a very deep feeling that this is her."
Jasden turned on his heels to fetch the young girl, and King Laklor took a hearty breath. It had been neigh on to fourteen years that his darling daughter had went missing, and truthfully he almost wished that his heart had gave up on her . However, Jasden was constantly searching for the missing princess, any girl that resembled the King or his late Queen was brought to the King and tested to see if she were the missing child. There was no sorrow in the world like the loss of a child, and for Laklor, he had lost two children and a wife.
It had happened exactly like this. It had been part of the chilly months in Herri, and the children had just turned four years old. They were twins, Prince Antone and Princess Ayer Falwin. Laklor was offered a treaty with the lands of Gergan, if he would betroth his daughter to Salbor. Laklor's wife had been livid, that the proposal had even been mentioned. Salbor and Gergan were dangerous, and her only daughter was not going to be married off into that sort of a mess. After the party which had celebrated the 4th year of the children and the engagement of Salbor and Ayer; Loren (the queen) gathered her young daughter, and left the castle. Loren was found the next day, she had died from bitter cold in the snow close to Ocean Crest and the child was missing.
