A Silent Whisper

A silent whisper called to me
it softly spoke my name.
Quietly I answered,
"I'm so glad you came."

Tenderly you spoke of love
breathed life into my heart.
I gasped, and tried to catch my breath,
we'll no longer be apart.

The silent whisper is no more
As I shout for all to hear.
While the pounding of my beating heart
draws my lover near.

My passion grows with every kiss
consumes my very soul.
Standing at the altar repeating,
"To have and to hold."
