My Failings

i believed i should be good
no i take that back-not good, perfect
i failed

i believed i should be
a good daughter, sister, wife, mother
i failed

i believed my first order of business
was to be true to Christ, a good Christian
i failed

i fell so many times on my face
i fell on my knees begging
forgiveness, for failing

when i failed
i learned
through all of my failures

to be human
for this
i have not failed
