poem written after some hard times and long thought about what one wants out of life. |
And all our growing up never seems to take long enough and the swings that we jump from never seem quite high enough and the stars that we gaze upon never seem to shine bright enough and the liquid that fills the cup never seems to fill enough and though we accept their love never do we feel loved enough and though we watch every performance never is there one great enough and though every decision is tough never is it questioned enough and those who we are so far from never can be close enough and every disease of our souls we cover never are they hidden enough and every task we consider done never is complete enough and all the pills we stomach never fix or fill us enough and however beautiful in the front never is it deceiving enough and those feelings in our guts never are they reason enough and every evil we hunt never are reprimanded enough and every murder we try to just never is corrected fair enough and every perfect white dove never lives long enough and every single bloody cut never is deep enough and all those whom we are from never are credited enough and all we want is this much never, never, never enough. |
