Time

Times pass by and change all things
Mem'ries fly on fading wings
Old life leaves without a trace
Odder scenes come in its place

Mind leaves slowly, but persists
Throws away old sacred lists
of lessons learned and new things wrought
pleasant things, and awful thoughts

What once was takes on new form
somehow altered in the storm
of time that passes, times to come
time that changes every one
