Green Bean Chop Suey, with Tomato Sauce
An Original Recipe by Miss C. Nathalie Ellen Milliken

1 6 to 8 oz. Piece of pork, finely chopped
1 brown onion, diced
1 to 3 gloves garlic, diced
1 to 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (Optional)
1 lg package frozen green beans (I think it is a 20 oz. Pack)
(Or use fresh green beans, or 2 small cans )
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 8 oz cup of water
½ teaspoon salt *
¼ teaspoon pepper *
(Salt and pepper to your taste)

Place chopped pork, onion and garlic in a large sauce pan, skillet or wok, and saute until golden brown, on high heat. If your pork is very lean, use 1 to 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Meanwhile, open the package of frozen green beans, place in colander, and rinse with warm water to remove ice and partially thaw. Place green beans in pan with sauteed ingreedients. Open the can of tomato sauce and pour over the ingredients. Fill can with water and pour over the ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste. Turn burner to medium and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, until green beans are tender. Serve with steamed rice.
