Think I might like to write a poem today!
Ten thousand days and nights to write and rhyme about
Would it be nice to write a poem today?
A Sonnet perhaps; one that is all my very own.

I will try to capture thoughts in my mind with pen on paper
Second draft, third, this is much harder than I ever thought it would
Just keep trying; Shakespeare did.

Think I will just imagine that I am a poet
Every line in my mind will be just fine
No piles of paper crumbled up on the floor
No tears streaming down my face while trying to win this race

Yes, Shakespeare did it in only fourteen lines.
