An acrostic poem about first love and longing for the magic to return
In drastic silence
Leave me to my own devices
Laugh if you like

At a madness I've
Learned to
Withstand
At times I would have given
You kingdoms blessed by
Saints, abundant in sea and salt

Loneliness takes time to
Overcome with words
Vanquished grief, memory
Eternal

Yet in all these years
Other hearts I've never known
Under threat of death I have

Buried my spirit,
Everything
Not born of love
Not pure in purpose
In all my life
Everything
