I ASKED GOD

I asked God for a miracle
as the rain came pouring down,
I asked that He stop the rain
as my spirits seemed to drown

So firmly I believed He would
answer my fervent prayer;
just a little bit of a miracle
was what was needed here.

The dark clouds seemed to travel
above at lightning speed,
and soon I saw a patch of blue
in answer to my need.

It wasn't long before the sun
came out and gave me light,
I thanked God with all my heart
for making the sky so bright..

I guess I needed reassurance;
that He would see me through;
it's as if His hand touched mine
and showed me what faith can do.

If you need a miracle in your life
or if in trouble you are cast -
You may hear His gentle words,
"Child, you only have to ask..."
