Sleeping with the Devil

From beneath my deepest, darkest dreams,

Seeps an evil of ancient lore.

I sleep with the devil, so it seems,

Someone evil and dark, into my eyes, bore.

Blacker than the night, these eyes be,

Though blacker still,the robes he possessed.

Emotions are stirred from deep within me.

My soul is on fire, I must have confessed,

Of things of evil, and things of might,

Things of attraction, creatures of the night.
