Saying good-bye - a rictameter for Writers' Cramp

-Message-
“I packed my bag,
I am leaving today,
no predictable direction,
but the eloquence of solitude,
fleeing from heavy-duty things,
to voice of victory.
My exit-ramp
message.”

-Answer-
“You, the wild one,
wishing to give away
kindred kisses, close friends, deep loves,
failing to see this is not what you want,
but emptiness is emptiness.
I’ll love you just the same,
wounded though my
answer.”

Farewells,
never easy,
determining regrets;
sudden stops at mid-sentences,
as if we notice we are now naked.
Who’s to say whose way is better
to fight off highway tears,
when we recall
farewells?
