Inspiring Dreams

Amidst these lonely nights,
Many dreams flow through my head.
Many wishes and past loves,
Come alive at sleep in bed.

Private wishes and memories,
So unfulfilled and unnamed.
Wishes of passionate love,
Held within and contained.

Left behind by love,
Sad, unhappy and pained,
Tears continually falling,
Leaving nothing but the stains.

Spying a rider through the tears,
Steadily riding near,
Hoping to be rescued from seclusion,
But thinking of nothing but the fear.

Sad, it was nothing but a dream,
Alive within my mind,
But it left inspiration.
The only thing I searched to find.
