If I told you, it would be like stealing from you. Read and think for yourself.
I was killed
By a man
So close
I didn’t even see
That he cut me.
But now that he’s gone
I can feel the blade pulse
Inside of what used to be
A shrine for my emotions.
It’s now a coffin
Full of splinters and rusty nails.
Where the meal worms
And maggots
Nibble and feast
On the corpse
Of what we used to be.

I can see the dream
Of what you want me to be
But I run from conformity

No escape from
Your persistence
That awakes me
Into this nightmare.

I can sense the eyes
Of my murderer
Burning into my back.
He’s watching to see
If I am alive
Enough to kill.

The pain dulled by
Ignorance
The ache soothed by
Distraction

Can there really be
An unseen side of me
That plots my own homicide
In effect it’s own suicide.

The more you push
The more he dances
The more he rejoices
The more he provokes my
Confusion
My misdirection
Contamination
I am my own infection

Cry for liberation
Evolution
A final solution
To this desolation.
