Darkness creeps in when sanity begins to slip away. Please R&R.
The raging fire of my soul,
has yet to let despair take its hold.
I beat back what darkness spawns,
in hope that soon I will find the dawn.

In the depths of my mind doubt dwells,
aspiring to one day bring me down to hell.
My fleeting hope begins to wane,
as the blackness slowly drives me insane.

I feel as though I am losing grip.
"No more!" I cry and let sanity slip.
Who am I? Where am I? Do I even belong?
Why can't I understand? What is wrong?

Life flies by in a sickening blur,
giving me a disease that has no cure.
There are demons here that call my name.
Asking me to do evil for money and fame.

I fight against their tempting words,
praying somehow a miracle will occur.
Through the darkness pierces a light,
illuminating all, burning so bright.

I regain control of concious thought,
breaking down evil that darkness brought.
The heavenly light guides my way,
back to sanity where I hope to stay.
