Snowdrops of Hope

Sunbeams kiss the earth, bringing hope
as angels breathe one spring snowflake
poking from Eve’s bare garden slope
silently chiming bells that make
ready for winter’s quick elope.

FYI: I did some research on the snowdrop, never realizing it was a "flower of hope”, able to poke through snow at February’s end. There’s also a legend that goes along with this bell shaped beauty, telling of an angel blowing a snowflake in Eve’s barren garden in which the snowflake turns into a snowdrop... the
