Last night in my sleep I had a new dream.
You and me in a lovely heavenly scene.
On your head was placed a golden halo.
A smile so sweet and red hair that glowed.


Dreaming brought a lot joy to my heart.
In those lovely days we wasn't apart.
At night I am never alone here at home.
In dreams you're back where you belong.


In the days you're always on my mind.
I think of the days you were only mine.
The world has taken yourself far away.
I stay here and pray that you are okay.


Time I hope will bring you back again.
Bring joy back to the heart of this man.
I am here at home waiting for you dear.
Wanting your love and to hold you near.


Let's be lovers and the best of friends.
Rekindle the torch we burned back then.
