When a loved one is close to death, you have to make every word count. A poem |
I see you lying before me Someone who was once strong enough to balance my world in one hand Now like this If you were just sleeping, I could call and you would wake You do not wake, and you may never wake again I know you are in there I know you can hear me So now I beg you from my heart to come back Come back to me Many aches and pains you have But none can compare to the agony in my heart to see you like this You were strong in life, and you must be strong now Give up, and you will stab me in the heart with a knife driven by my own hand You are all I care about I love you more than anything under Sun, Moon, or Star You are my world, my universe, my existance Oh my darling, my sweet, my most-special dearest friend As dear to me as the air I breathe, the blood in my broken heart My life is bonded to yours If Death took you from me, I would give my own life to bring you back If you leave this Earth, then I will follow not far behind You might leave me any moment If you do, then go with the knowledge that my love for you is eternal But hang in there, darling, and you will see me soon |
