Countdown poem about autumn (Count Down)
Coolness slithers in and passes out nips
to awaken colors that explode,
in bits of yellow, red, orange.
Energy infuses all,
while nature serves her feast.
Dance on leaf-strewn earth,
sing clear night skies,
hide from harm,
yawn and
sleep.

Count up and Count down.

Count up:
The count up has 55 syllables, divided over ten lines. Starting with one syllable, adding a syllable each line. So, you end your poem with the tenth line, with ten syllables. Rhyme and meter are allowed. ( not in its cousin, the Etheree, quite similar to the Count up)

Count down:

In fact is the count down the opposite of the count up. You start with 10 syllables in the first line and in the following lines you write a syllable less. So you end with one syllable. It is a great form to use with a humorous twist…(but it is not necessary…)
