Friends?

Chapter 1


Introduction
In the town of Stoney, there was a girl named Katy. She lived a pretty good life. She had lots of friends, had great parents that loved her, and lived in a nice quiet town. Everyday she went to school at Stoney Middle School where she was in 8th grade..... and every day she wrote in her journal or as she called it a "diary"...... But it all changes when she lets something slip....

Dear Diary,
Today at school was had macaroni and cheese for lunch. It was pretty good (i guess)! But anyways, I went to school as usual and now I have a lot a homework. Mr. Thomasly sure does give out a lot of home work and it is only the second week of school. Well I better get goin because I have to run to basketball practice with Janet.

Dear Diary,
I had a great day at school today! I even made a new friend! Her name is Sahara. She is from Kentucky. She just moved her yesterday and today she came up to me and asked me to come over to her house on the 15th of March! I asked my mom and she said sure! So on Friday I get to sleep over at her house, and I can't wait! The only problem is that I have to go to camp on Saturday morning so i have to leave her house at 8:00 IN THE MORNING!! That is like way to early!! I can hardly wake up that early for school! (authors note: She goes to school at 9:30) I don't want to leave. I hope that I have fun there.. Well enough about that. Coming up is our first track meet. I can't wait!! It should be lots of fun! I am running the 100 m dash and doing the high jump. I am really good at those too! O great my mom is calling me for supper... more later.

Dear Diary,
I have good news and bad news... which one first? I guess bad news first... Last night just as i got home from camp we got a phone call saying that my great grandma just fell down the stairs... She broke her arm, and hip. As soon as we heard the news we quickly but carefully went down to the hospital and saw my grandma. She looked terrible. I am not going to say anything more about it because I am about to cry. So enough of that. The good news!!! I went over to Sahara's house and it is HUGE!!! And also beautiful!! We went swimming in her pool, went to the movies, and eat lotsa candy and stuff. Then when we went to bed i wasn't even tired so we stayed up till 4 in the morning.. my mom wasn't very happy... and on that note I didn't wake up when the alarm went off. I got up an hour after so my mom was ringing the door bell like a million times before i was ready to go.. But o well. I was alittle bit late for my camp but thats ok ... it was a very boring camp anyway! But i have to let you go becuase Jenny just called and has some very important news...

March 17 (again )
Dear Diary,
I have terrible news... Jenny doesn't want to be my friend anymore.. What should I do??? Please help me ... i have to go get ready for bed...

Dear Diary,
I talked to Jenny for a while and she told me that no one that I hang out with wants to be my freinds.. So I have cried my eyes out every night since then and i don't know that to do... Sorry to cut it short I have to go to basketball with my only friend that I have left.
