A poem I wrote for my biological father.
I wrote this poem to/for my biological father after I finally came to terms with the way he always treated me. It was written several years ago.
================================================================

Are you looking for me?
I'm no longer where I always was...
I'm no longer under your shoe.
I'm no longer your welcome mat,
I'm no longer there to wipe your feet upon.

I'm behind the door now.
If you want to come in,
I'll let you.
But I'll never again be,
Where you always found me.
I'm no longer under your shoe.
