God's Gift

"God's Gift"

God,
Gave me a soul and body
All the love of my parents
In my Mother's womb I was
blessed with her inheritance


He gave me life so I'd live
Always be a Christian man
Be God fearing honest
and true to any one I can


He gave me love so I could
have a reason to live
With love for my neighbors
and to my fellow man give


God,
gave me eyes so I can see
This Earth, created for me
I have ears so I could hear
The trickling of a stream
Natures creatures near


He gave me arms and hands
so I could hold and feel
My loved ones in times of joy
and sorrow be it His will


He gave me legs so I can walk
With Him and pray when I talk

God,
gave me a voice so I could speak.
To tell of His great love
to any Human being I meet.

He gave me a nose so I
could breathe and smell.
The precious air, and the sweet
fragrance of flowers as well.

He gave me looks with
distinguishing features.
Much different from any
other of his creatures.

He gave me a brain
to control my body.
Its thoughts, its actions,
and to keep them Godly.

He gave me a conscience
so I could believe.
To know right from wrong
and do the right thing.

God,
gave me a mind so I
could think and reason.
Gain knowledge from learning, and
wisdom from experiencing things.

He gave me a mouth so
I could drink and eat.
Nourishing my body with
water, and food such as wheat.

He made me to be a man to
find and love my mate.
To have children raise
them to know His faith.

He gave me a heart so

I could have feelings.
To be considerate toward others,
and help them with their failings.

God,
gave me hands so I
could type and write.
My poetry, and stories, so
others could read of His light.

Yes,
all of these gifts God has
given to me, and so much more.
He has asked for only my
faith, and love in return.
I have been truly blessed
by all gifts I have received.
I will continue to worship
God by giving Him my love.
