Chapt. 4 Frightened Victor Bromyn shouted for Thimpin to stay by his side and to swing the silver net out wide and when he did it sparkled in the dim lantern light. Bromyn shouted,"Let go!", and it sailed and glided and glowed through the air like a really pretty kite. It settled softly on the monster like a quilt and as Thimpin wondered why it was built it flashed like a camera only twice as bright as the sun. For a minute everything was quiet and dark and still and Thimpin held his breathe and bit his tongue. When once again he could see, Bromyn was bent down on one knee picking up the silver net across the way. And as he looked up he laughed and waved and shouted, "Old Spy'ter has left us for this day!" Thimpin was speechless but wondered nontheless, who Bromyn really was and how could he get back home. He was lost underground and tired and scared even though he wasn't completely all alone. As if knowing it was time, Bromyn spoke soft and kind and said, "Thimpin, you have seen enough this day. I will take you to the Four Brothers and the sky and the trees, and you will go home until another day." For the first time in awhile Thimpin's face lit up with a smile and he quickly asked, "How long will it take?" Bromyn slapped his belly and laughed and hooted and said, "Thimpin, you could cure a headache!" Please continue with Chapter 5: "Chapter V: Up and Out" |
