Ode to the Earth

Acrostic monorhyme poem written for the Writer's Cramp.

Over hills and valleys wide, you birth the dreams we find,
Dancing forests whisper truth, in every leaf aligned.
Even oceans hum your tune, in waves so gently signed.

Timeless beauty, ever bold, in starlight you're outlined,
Orbiting the endless void, yet never left behind.

Treasures bloom in silent strength, by nature’s hand designed,
Holding all with tender care, in roots and stone combined.
Earth, your breath is life itself, by every breeze defined.

Even in our reckless hands, your hope remains entwined,
And still you turn with quiet grace, forgiving, not maligned.
Rain or fire, you endure, your spirit never resigned.
Truth and wonder shape your core, a gift to all mankind.
Honor lives within your soil, a legacy enshrined.
