short story, horror-ish I hope you enjoy!

"What happened?" asked the man hidden in a cloak of shadows. The room was dark and I couldn't see a thing; it definitely wasn't helping that they shone a light in my eyes. "What happened?" the man asked again.
"I-i don't know she was just gone..." I replied. The mysterious man was talking to someone on his radio. Where had they taken me? I wondered as I looked around and saw that I was in an interrogation room. Did they think I had done it?
"Please explain to me what happened in full detail." I didn't want to. I did not want to relive that. I should be in the comfort of my own home recovering from what happened.
"Sir, please tell me what happened last night," he continued. A sudden burst of anger swelled up inside me.
"Why! Why do you want to hear it from me! Do you think that I did it? Give me a good honest reason why I would want to kill my girlfriend! I loved Carrie to the moon and back!" I practically screamed at him.
"You obviously already know the whole story so why ask me?!" I continued
"Sir, we are not blaming you, we have already asked your friends what happened, we just want to hear it from everyone who was there so we don't miss anything." the man calmly explained. I felt so stupid of course that's what he wanted, he wasn't blaming me! He just wants to know the story from other people's perspective!
"Okay then," and so i started explaining what had happened

" It was just an average morning for our average town, people walking their dogs and children playing in the park. It was never supposed to be like this! We were at home when Carrie got a phone call from her friend Hayley. She wanted to know if we could come over that night so we could go and investigate an abandoned swimming pool. Carrie, being a thrill seeker and loving supernatural things, agreed and decided to drag me along. When we had gotten there it was already dark and it turns out that Hayley had invited some more people to come along. We climbed into the building through the open window of the second floor. Me and Carrie went first and checked to see if anyone was there, just in case Hayley had described it as, obviously no one was there so we called out to them and then they climbed up. When everyone was up Hayley decided that we would split up into groups of two. I told her that it was a classic horror movie mistake but she just said that this wasn't a horror movie and that I was just scared. I was paired up with my good mate Archie and Carrie was paired with- Hayley.
We split up and looked to see if we could find anything cool, me and Archie were looking through a pile of swim towels to see if anyone had dropped a wallet or something when we heard a horrible, blood curdling scream and- and I knew instantly who it was. By the time I had gotten to the roof Hayley was sitting on the floor staring at the edge of the roof with her eyes wide. I screamed at her asking where Carrie was but she couldn't speak. I screamed at her again. This time she just pointed at the edge. I peered over. And I couldn't accept what I saw there. I just couldn't. Carrie was laying at the bottom of the building with a pool of blood around her," I finished. At this point I could feel tears pricking at my eyes. Carrie was gone. And never coming back.
