A woman's obsession leads to the date of a lifetime.
Matt was always so flirty. That's how our relationship started. He gave me a wink at the coffee shop. It was love instantaneous. That's when the flowers and notes started. Yes, I sent them to myself, but it I did use his credit card and his cell phone to send them. I was just helping things along. I knew he wanted me to have them. I spent most of my day running into him. First, the coffee shop. Then the drycleaners. I waited out the middle of the day for him to finish work in building in the lobby: meeting up again later at the grocery store. I know he thought it was kismet, or fate.

He never really got violent. I really did run my eye into the door. I did stumble, breaking my arm. But with the way I talked about how upset with me Matt was, I just couldn't convince the ER doctors. Matt's notes became nasty, threatening almost. They were printed on his home printer. (Again, I helped.) I saved every one of them.

The last straw was the night that he took that hussy out to eat at "our" restaurant. I knew that sacrifices must be made to save the relationship. I forgave him for the indescretion. We made up. After a lot of work and effort put in to establishing the relationship, here we were getting ready for the most important date of our lives.

I dressed meticulously for it. I styled my hair to cover the right side of my face. I did my makeup, emphasizing cheekbones I didn't have and making my nose more slender. When I was done I could barely recognize myself.

The doorman let me in and brought me right to my seat. I couldn't see Matt yet but I knew he wouldn't be late for this. I've sacrificed a lot for this relationship- an ear, a few molars, and a lot of blood, but in the end, it got both of us to this date.

The curtain opened, and a man in a suit stepped forward, "Mathew Lillie, you stand convicted of the heinous murder of Abigail Walker. You have been sentenced to death by lethal injection. Do you have anything to say?"

Matthew's eyes met mine, and he began to yell, "Wait, wait! She's over there in the audience. She's alive."

"At this time, all of your appeals have been denied."

"But..."

"Proceed with the execution." A man in a mask pressed the button that began the cocktail of death flowing through Matthew's veins. Now I would always know where he was, and who he was with...
