In Morse code, it declares itself
In Morse Code, the letter A
Is made of a short pulse (a dot)
And a longer pulse that goes on
Not forever and a day,
But just three times longer, a dash.
(M has two _ _)

An I is two short dots
Like two eyes on the sun’s
Smiling hot face.
.. ._ _ _

At the space center, you can hear the sun
They play its moans and pulses, short and long
And they try to answer back when the sun declares
On the radio through Morse Code
That it is there.

I discovered it - isn’t that grand?
But the whole book of what it says
Is written on my hand.
